My Approach
Psychodynamic Counselling
As a psychodynamic counsellor with over 10 years of experience, I have a deep understanding of the types of difficulties that many people experience in their everyday lives. My approach is empathetic and non-judgmental, creating a safe and welcoming space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in confidence.

Insight Based on Knowledge of the Unconscious
Psychodynamic counselling allows us to delve deeper into underlying issues, gain insight into recurring patterns and create the right conditions for you to flourish. It provides an opportunity to consider how unconscious attitudes may be influencing your decision making and behaviour, leading to unintended consequences for you and the people you care about.

Confidence to Succeed
By working together and building trust in each other, we can begin to address the unconscious beliefs that are holding you back and keeping you from fulfilling your potential, e.g. "I'm not good enough!" or "Everybody hates me!". It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help - quite the opposite, in fact. If you're stuck on a problem you can't resolve, don't wait any longer.

Areas of Expertise
I began my counselling and psychotherapy career as an Honorary Psychotherapist in the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster (KCW) Psychotherapy Team, which is part of the Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust. As such, I have experience of working with psychiatric outpatients suffering a range of conditions including bi-polar disorder and emotionally unstable personality disorder.

I have also worked as a Mental Health Support Worker in the Camden and Islington (CANDI) NHS Foundation Trust as part of the Community Mental Health (CMHT) or Crisis Team. This experience has broadened my understanding of complex mental health conditions including schizophrenia, psychosis, manic depression, eating disorders and personality disorders, deliberate self-harm and suicidal ideation.

As well as complex mental health, I am more than adept at working with common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
