Psychodynamic Counselling

As a Psychodynamic Counsellor with over 12 years of experience in private practice, I have a deep understanding of the types of difficulties that many people experience in their everyday lives. My approach is empathetic and non-judgmental, creating a safe and welcoming space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in confidence.

Experience You Can Trust

My expertise as a practitioner is evidenced by almost 20 years of experience in a wide a variety of mental health settings, including the NHS, private and charitable sectors.

2012-17, I worked as an Honorary Psychotherapist at a central London NHS Foundation Trust.

2013-15, I worked in a crisis setting at an inner city hospital.

2015-17, I delivered Suicide Prevention Training to other mental health professionals for a very well known charity.

2008-2013, I worked in a private residential care setting in the local community.

As a consequence of these extensive experiences, I am able to recognise and respond to a wide range of personal difficulties. The knowledge and skills I have accumulated are second to none.

Confidence to Succeed

By working together and building trust in each other, we can begin to address the unconscious beliefs that are holding you back and keeping you from fulfilling your potential, e.g. "I'm not good enough!" or "Everybody hates me!". It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help - quite the opposite, in fact. If you're stuck on a problem you can't resolve, don't wait any longer.

Areas of Expertise

I began my counselling and psychotherapy career as an Honorary Psychotherapist in the Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster (KCW) Psychotherapy Team, which is part of the Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust.  As such, I have experience of working with psychiatric outpatients suffering a range of conditions including bi-polar disorder and emotionally unstable personality disorder.

I have also worked as a Mental Health Support Worker in the Camden and Islington (CANDI) NHS Foundation Trust as part of the Community Mental Health (CMHT) or Crisis Team.  This experience has broadened my understanding of complex mental health conditions including schizophrenia, psychosis, manic depression, eating disorders and personality disorders, deliberate self-harm and suicidal ideation.

As well as complex mental health, I am more than adept at working with common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
